Applied Law

The Edexcel AAQ BTEC National in Applied Law offers a practical and engaging introduction to the legal system in England and Wales. This qualification is ideal for students who are interested in how laws are made, applied, and interpreted, and how they affect individuals and society.

With a focus on both civil and criminal law, students will explore the workings of the courts, the roles of legal professionals, and the legal rights and responsibilities of individuals. BTEC Law is excellent preparation for further study or employment in the legal, public, or business sectors.

Entry requirements

Grade 5 or above in English Language or Literature Grade 5 or above in GCSE Geography, History or Religious Studies

Similar in style and structure to Level 3 Criminology, this course blends academic study with real-world application and is suited to students who enjoy coursework-based learning, independent research, and applying knowledge to real-life situations.
