Admissions
Students joining in September 2021
Valley Park School has a published admission number (PAN) of 240 students, to be admitted into Year 7 each year. Applications for places will be made in accordance with Kent local authority’s coordinated admission arrangements and will be made on the Secondary Common Application Form (SCAF), provided and administered by the Kent Local Authority. Please note that a Supplementary Application Form is only required if you are applying for a scholarship.

Deadline by which to accept/decline the place that has been offered by KCC.

Date by which families should have lodged their appeal, if they wish to make one.

Reallocation offer day – at this time, some additional offers may be made, if other families have declined their place at the school.

Welcome event for our new families – details to be confirmed, as they are Covid-dependent.

June/July 2021
|
Transition events for our new students – details also to be confirmed, as they are Covid-dependent. We will be in touch about other, virtual, activities from March onwards, too.
At this time, we will be arranging meetings with representatives from Valley Park School to meet with children’s outgoing primary schools.

In Year Admissions
If you're interested in applying for a place at Valley Park during the school year, please download and complete the In Year Casual Application Form (IYCAF) and forward to the Admissions Officer.
Appeals
If your child is due to start secondary school in September 2021 you can appeal between 1st March - 28 March 2021 to guarantee that your appeal will be heard by 14 June 2021.
For applications made in the normal admission round, appeals must be heard within 40 school days of the deadline for lodging appeals.
For late applications, appeals should be heard within 40 schools days from the deadline for lodging appeals where possible, or within 30 schools days of the appeals being lodged.
