Our Community Values
We have thought long and hard about what makes Valley Park the place and the community that it is, and we believe our values are encapsulated by the mnemonic, CREATE:
CREATE conveys for us the importance of the academic, but also students’ wellbeing and all the other elements of Personal Development that their time at Valley Park will provide.
We are strongly committed to:
- Creating an atmosphere of tolerance and mutual respect.
- Encouraging students to take on responsibilities which encourage growth and development.
- Providing a safe, calm and caring atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Ensuring consistency, fairness and clear expectations.
- Developing social skills and moral values within the school community.
All of this whilst fostering a strong sense of community, both within and beyond the school gates.
Anti Bullying Policy
Every individual within the school community has the right to work and to realise their true potential in all aspects of school life, free from humiliation, intimidation and abuse. The school, and indeed Valley Invicta Academies Trust (VIAT) does not tolerate bullying.
Unfortunately, we cannot promise that school will be a bullying-free environment, particularly given the prevalence of social media in today’s society, but we will support where we can and take a strong line with students who are found to have been bullying, including when this is found to have been the case online.
Here is our Anti-Bullying Policy.
This will be updated in September 2021.
We hope that your child has a very happy and safe time throughout their years at Valley Park School. We look forward to working with you to achieve this and, if things are not quite right, then we will do our best to support and nurture. We look forward to your child becoming part of Valley Park’s new and community-minded “Creative Generation”!
