A strong year of GCSE results

Valley Park School is delighted to announce a strong year of GCSE results, with significant improvements seen across key subject areas.

The school community is particularly proud of the outstanding achievements in English and Maths, where there was an increase from the previous year in the number of students achieving 4+ or 5+ in both English and Maths. We are tremendously proud of our Arts subjects – Art & Design, Ceramics, Graphics, Textiles and Photography where all students passed the subject and passed well, many a grade or two above their target. Similarly, for Music and Dance, outcomes were very impressive and achieved 100% pass rate.

'We're thrilled to see the hard work and dedication of our pupils and staff reflected in these excellent GCSE outcomes,' said David Jones, Headteacher at Valley Park School. 'These results demonstrate the school's relentless commitment to providing a high-quality education that empowers our young people to reach their full potential.'

Highlights from this year's GCSE results include:

  • Aya I: 4x 9, 3x 8, 3x 7
  • Nawal A: 3x 9, 1x 8, 4x 7
  • Ruby D: 1x 9, 1x 8, 3x 7
  • Azaria M: 3x 8, 5x 7
  • Jack J: 1x Distinction, 1x 8, 5x 7
  • Jack C: 2x 8, 3x 7

Whilst we are very proud of the individual grades of the students listed above, we also want to recognise the following students for achieving well above their target grades: Lucia C, Alyssa O, Kubra Y, Samuel T, Finn K, Luven S.

As a result of these strong outcomes, the school's Sixth Form saw a strong intake of both internal and external candidates, reflecting the growing reputation of Valley Park School and the quality of education it provides.

'We're incredibly proud of all our students and the immense progress they have made,' added Mr. Jones. 'These results are a testament to their hard work, resilience, and the support of our dedicated teaching staff. We look forward to seeing our young people continue to thrive as they embark on the next stage of their educational journey.'

We are excited to see the students progress on their journey, whether it be with us or elsewhere. We know that the Class of 2024 are well prepared and will continue to uphold our school values: Ambition, Respect & Kindness, in their personal and professional lives.

We Are Valley Park.
