This Islamic holiday marks the end of Hajj. It celebrates Abraham's willingness to sacrifice his son to obey God, who provided a lamb instead. Celebrants enjoy the sacrificial animal, usually a sheep or goat. It begins this evening and ends June 10. pic.twitter.com/8V7wRM0DiE— Valley Park School () June 6, 2025

Come and see the Musical Take-Off!

We would like to invite our school community to a night raising money for the Young Lives Foundation.

Our Year 12 Musical Theatre students are performing a night of Musical numbers and solo performances as part of their BTEC examination. The students have teamed up with Year 13 Catering and Hospitality students, to create a menu and an evening of food and entertainment.

Musical numbers from ‘Come from Away’, ‘Waitress’ and ‘CATS’ will entertain you while you eat a lovely 3 course meal and canapés. There will also be a raffle & games throughout the evening to ensure we raise as much as possible.

The Young Lives Foundation (YLF) is an award-winning non-profit organisation based in Maidstone. They are a children’s charity with expertise in Advocacy, Mentoring, Befriending and Activity Programmes. YFL have been working closely with Miss Blackman and the Year 10 students providing support and mentoring.

So far we have been lucky enough to have this funded, but from next year we will have to fund this ourselves. We therefore aim to create as many fundraising opportunities as possible for this to be able to continue.

The sixth form students have heard what Young Lives have done for some of the younger students and would like their examination performance to raise money for them. Throughout the evening Year 10 students who have received support will share their stories to show just what great work the YLF do.

So come along and support, enjoy an evening of excellent quality performances - and exquisite food - all organised, created and performed by students.

Purchase a ticket.

Complete our dietry requirements Form.We look forward to seeing you on the night!
