World Book Day 2015

Our Library is running a fantastic series of competitions to celebrate World Book Day 2015. Closing date for entries is 6th March, and prizes will be awarded for the best entries.

Your design must be on A4 paper in portrait format. The token design must be drawn in a rectangle measuring 127mm wide and 81mm high. You will be entered into a national competition to win Book Tokens worth up to £100, and you could see your design turned into a real National Book Token and distributed to bookshops nationwide in time for Christmas!

...for a fiction book you have been reading. Students who have been reading a book on the Maidstone Area Book Awards shortlist should enter this competition to win a place at the Awards event on the 23rd March.

Recreate the setting of a fiction book in miniature in a shoebox.

Ask a friend or relative to take a photograph of you reading in an unusual place or in an unusual way. Remember, though, don't take any unecessary risks!

Donate a book of your own to our Library book swap. Your book will be wrapped and you will be able to take a book from a “lucky dip” of wrapped books.
