Applying to our Sixth Form

At Valley Park Sixth Form it is possible to combine the subjects that you love to create a clear path to the next stage of your life. However, you must keep in mind the individual entry requirements for each course and the general Sixth Form entry requirements.

Our new interactive handbook has clear information on progression, entry requirements and student perspectives on courses. This can be found here, and offers the option of watching videos from staff and students explaining in more detail the courses on offer.

All of the information you need to make the right choices for you, including entry criteria, is outlined in our application guide. There, each of the Valley Park Pathways are illustrated, alongside information about universities and careers that link to each pathway and a past student pen portrait.

Internal students will apply via a personalised application form. You do not need to apply to our Sixth Form via UCAS Progress, you simply need to submit this form to your form tutor by the 19th of November.

Following on from your submission of the application form, you will have the opportunity to further discuss your choices with your form tutor on the year 11 consultation day on the 7th of December. Prior to that day you will receive support and guidance from your form tutor and the Sixth Form team should you need it.

External students, you will be able to apply from this evening, via the UCAS progress website. You should have recently received information about this website and how to apply. If you need any additional support you can contact our school directly and we will endeavour to support you through the application process and selecting the right courses for you.

Once you have applied to our Sixth Form we offer additional support and guidance. For internal students this will happen during form time with your tutor or one to one meetings with the Sixth Form team or through your careers meetings with Ms West our careers adviser. External students who apply will be offered additional support and guidance, should they be successful, throughout the induction week at the end of the Summer Term.
