This year, sixth form Media students submitted their productions to the 'Into Film' national film competition and they have been shortlisted for Best Live Action Film 2016.

The year 12 production team included Harry Wheelwright, Oliver Ford, Chloe Oakes and Katie Wall with starring roles from Lauren Seal, Matt Wright and Jess Milford.
These students have been invited to a ceremony in the UK's largest cinema (Odeon, Leicester Square) where they will be able to mix with industry professionals. Afterwards, they have been invited to an after-party at Planet Hollywood to celebrate their success.
There were hundreds of entries and shortlisted productions were judged by professionals such as Oscar-winning director Tom Hooper (The Danish Girl, Les Misérables, The King's Speech), Aardman Animations co-founder Peter Lord (Shaun the Sheep The Movie, Chicken Run), actor Naomie Harris (Spectre, Skyfall, Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom) and director Amma Asante (Belle).
This is a national competition which has previously been attended by Sky News, London Live, London Tonight, First News, BBC London, Heart FM, Evening Standard, Daily Mail and Digital Spy.

Fingers crossed for the 15th of March!
