Performing Arts
The specification for BTEC approaches the study of performance with a focus on practitioners and style/genre, encouraging the study of a range of performance works, both in a group through practical workshops and independently for research. Developing performance skills and exploring the context and impact of theatre on culture.

HOW IT’S ASSESSED
- External Written Assessment: Essay comparing the work & context of practitioners.
- External Performance Assessment: A 20 minute performance based on a set stimulus accompanied by a log book.
- Two Internal assessments both workshop based ending in performance work, accompanied by a log book.
